We have an opportunity for an 6 session salaried GP to join us at our growing practice. We are a busy training and dispensing practice in East Cheshire, near to junction 17 of the M6 motorway in the centre of Holmes Chapel village. Current list size is just over 13,000 and growing. We have 6 very supportive Partners plus 2 salaried GPs, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Paramedics, on-site physiotherapy, phlebotomy, Pharmacist, MHP's, FCP's, SPLW and a positive and supportive admin team. We have a large, recently extended and fully refurbished premises with 21 clinical rooms. We may consider flexibility in sessions, we are looking to cover 6 sessions.
The practice is part of CHOC PCN which is made up us and three other practiceS in Congleton and we have a full complement of ARRS roles who work across the practices. We have a great working relationship and together use resources effectively to increase capacity as well as staff and patient satisfaction. Our clinical systems are Emis Web, Docman and Accurx. Main duties of the job
We're an established, well-run and highly regarded GMS andtraining practice, using a total triage model since 2023. We're looking for aSalaried GP for 6 sessions per week. Weneed a team player who is keen to support the ongoing growth and development ofthe practice.
About us
Our services include minor ops, contraception and extended hours. The role would involve working some early and late sessions as part of our contract. We rotate the early and late shifts along with the duty/triage GP shifts and strive to allow all colleagues a good life work balance.
A strong team ethic, underpinned with regular clinical reviews.
We have a Practice Management team consisting of Practice Business Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, Operations Manager, Administration Manager, Dispensary Manager, Nurse Lead and Reception Manager as well as patient experience lead, finance assistant, medical secretary team, dispensary team and office team.

Duties andResponsibilities
Undertake all the duties associated with the role of aGeneral Practitioner required by the GMS contract, including patientconsultations, duty doctor cover including triage and home visits. Thisshould take in to account physical, psychological and social factors whendiagnosing illness, treating diseases, tending to injuries and recommendingtreatment. Work in accordance with the Practice rota system in place.
Collect, record and maintain patient information, such asmedical history, reports and examination results. Information is recorded onthe practices clinical system and this information should be recordedaccurately, using templates and read codes and in a timely manner. Complywith all the objectives of the GMS Contract, QOF targets, CCG requirementsarrangements
Work in accordance with Practice clinical procedures andprotocols. All work within the practice is governed by protocols andprocedures alongside other additional governance requirements from outsideorganisations.
Request, perform and/or interpret tests and records,reports and examination information to assist in diagnosis of patientscondition. Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication,vaccination and other appropriate medical care to treat or prevent illness,disease or injury. Monitor patients condition and progress and re-evaluationand/or change treatments as necessary.
Refer patients to medical specialists or otherpractitioners appropriately, when necessary and in a timely manner ensuringcompliance with protocols and procedures for referral.
Promote health education in conjunction with other healthcare professionals and have an awareness of the local health and socialissues.
Complete all allocated and self-generated clinicaladministration.
Carry out clinical audits as appropriate.
Completion of reports for solicitors, insurance companiesand other third parties as required.
Liaise with other health care professionals when required,including support to the nursing team during minor illness clinics
Act in a way that protects the confidentiality of patientsand maintains the integrity of the patient/Practice relationship. Thisincludes compliance with the Practices Confidentiality Policy and Caldicotguidance.
Recognise the importance of effective communication withinthe team and communicate effectively with team members, patients, theircarers and other colleagues and health care professionals.
Take an active role and contribute to Practice meetingswhere appropriate.
Support the compliance of the Practice Health and Safetypolicy. Work safely at all times in accordance with legislative and practicepolicies and procedures.
Participate in the GP revalidation and appraisal scheme.Maintain portfolio of continuing professional development activities.
Maintain medical knowledge and skill level in line withyour Personal Development Plan and for the safe delivery of clinical carewithin the Practice.
Keep up to date with medical developments, medication andtreatments.
Attend Practice training sessions as appropriate andrequired.
Comply with all the objectives of the GMS Contract, IIFEnhanced Service.
Work safely at all times in accordance with Legislativerequirements and Practice Policy and Procedures.
Undertake any other duties requested by the Partners orPractice Manager within professional and general competence.
