LOCATION: Phoenix, Clarkes Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 2BX
HOURS: 31.25 hours per week, Term Time + 5 INSET Days
CONTRACT: Permanent
GRADE: Grade B - £24,027 - £24,404 p.a. (£18,107 - £18,392 p.a. after adjustment for part-time hours and weeks)
ALLOWANCE: Special Needs Allowance £1,124 p.a. (actual amount)
START DATE: As soon as possible, subject to clearances being completed satisfactorily

Responsibilities
* Provide classroom support for students with speech, language and communication needs, and social and emotional difficulties through:
o Supporting individual and group work to raise core skills, supporting Personalised Learning Plans and helping students access the national curriculum
o Assisting students to access the school curriculum and in the use of resources, including IT
o General support to students in line with Education, Health and Care Plans or planned provision
o Assisting in the assessment of students’ attainment and with recording and monitoring of progress
o Supervision of students on school trips/visits
Qualifications
* You will have attained GCSE grade 4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) and ideally have experience of working with children or young people in an education setting.
