Overview
IMMEDIATE START. Steelcraft makes and fits a range of architectural metalwork including balustrade, handrails, railings & gates. Installation metalwork labourers work mainly outdoors in 2-person teams consisting of a crew leader and a metalwork labourer. When in the workshop, they prepare steel for fabrication and prepare finished products for installation or delivery using a variety of tools and machines. We are looking for a hard-working team player to fulfil the role of Installation Metalwork Labourer. This vacancy is for on site installation work and requires a CSCS card. As it is for an immediate start, you will require an existing CSCS card. This is a temporary position which could be upgraded to a permanent contract.

* Working Hours: Weekday working 07:30-16:30 Mon-Thu; 07:30-12:30 Fridays. Overtime opportunities.
* Location: Based out of our workshop in Tanfield, Stanley, County Durham.
* Contract: Temporary position with potential to upgrade to permanent.
* On-site installation work; CSCS card required (existing CSCS card for immediate start).
Responsibilities
* Perform duties as part of a 2-person team (crew leader + metalwork labourer) in outdoor on-site installations.
* Manual handling and use of machinery and power tools.
* Digging and working at height as required.
* Prepare steel for fabrication in the workshop and prepare finished products for installation or delivery.
Qualifications
* CSCS Card – essential
* Ability to work as part of a team – essential
* Related experience – advantageous
* Full, clean driving license – advantageous
* Similar experience would be an advantage; training is provided.
