North Volunteers Officer
Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a North Volunteers Officer to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester.You will join us on a full time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract. In return, you will receive a competitive salary.
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
As North Volunteers Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in contributing towards the development, planning, and delivery of the charity’s volunteers’ projects as well as the recruitment of the required volunteers by providing administrative support, oversight to the rest of the volunteers teams across the organisation, and acting as a central point of contact/support for Head Office for all volunteers needs. Exploring new innovative volunteers’ opportunities, preparing volunteers resources, procurement of said resources, and collecting of information such as queries and complaints. Work on outreach and building new areas in your region. All in order to ensure smooth running of volunteers operations, establish lines of communication, ensure value for money, and promoting a positive working environment.

7. Provide administrative support and oversight in a timely fashion
8. Suggest new innovative opportunities
9. Achieve increased public interaction through Volunteers projects
10. Improve local relations through outreach programmes
11. Provide manpower for the organisation through the offering of internships
What we’re looking for in our North Volunteers Officer:
12. Education - Ideally degree-educated in a related field. Minimum GCSE English and Maths
13. Experience - Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in charity / office administration / events or volunteers management
14. Skills - MS Office Suite, Database proficient. Experience using Salesforce is desirable
15. Language - Fluent English is essential. Additional language. Arabic, Urdu is desirable
16. Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector
