A well-established Mechanical & Civil Engineering company based in Ilkeston is looking for an experienced Industrial Paint Sprayer / Painter to join their skilled team. Working within a busy and dynamic workshop environment, youll play a vital role in preparing and finishing heavy steel fabrications used in large-scale infrastructure and energy projects across the UK.
About the Role This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong workshop experience and a solid background in paint spraying. Youll be involved in prepping and coating bespoke fabrications using single and 2-pack paint systems, ensuring a high-quality finish across structural steel and pipework components.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and fettling of metal surfaces
Application of single and 2-pack paint systems (brush and spray)
Use of hand and power tools for surface preparation
Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Adhering to all health and safety procedures
What Were Looking For
Proven experience in an industrial paint spraying role
Ability to work on large-scale fabrications
Strong understanding of workshop processes and safety practices
Flexible and supportive approach to assisting with other workshop tasks
Experience in steel or pipework assembly (advantageous but not essential)
