OCU Group has experienced continued growth and expansion within the water and wastewater sector. As a result of our ongoing project successes, we are now looking for a skilled designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with site managers, project managers, quantity surveyors, clients, and other key stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Carryout upfront site surveys
* Carryout desktop study requirements
* Obtaining utility drawings and using clients GIS systems
* Produce PowerPoint presentations / Feasibility reports
* Produce Detail Design drawings on AutoCAD
* Produce Design Risk assessments.
* Produce material lists based on detail designs produced.
* Produce Design changes as required
* Preparing site handover and completion packages.
* Attend meetings both internally and with clients.
* Update design manager or PD on progress of projects
Skills & Experience
* Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Engineering. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
* Can use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook programmes
* Competent using AutoCAD LT 2D
* Awareness of CDM 2015
* Have some knowledge of water / utility industry essential
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Full driving licence essential
