This role is essential for operating and maintaining a range of woodworking machinery to cut, shape and prepare timber components according to product specifications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of the production line and the quality of our products and possess an excellent work ethic and can do attitude, along with a keen eye for detail.
We have a variety of machines producing the material required to make garden buildings and full training will be given by our in-house team.
Job Responsibilities:
* Accurately measure, cut and prepare timber components to meet product specifications
* Operate and oversee various machinery
* Conduct routine checks on machinery to ensure all equipment is in safe working order
* Routine maintenance of machinery to help ensure smooth operation
* Identify and report any machine faults or defects
* Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies
* Maintain a clean and organised work area
* Working efficiently to ensure daily targets are met
Skills:
* Proven experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
* Excellent attention to detail
* Physical fitness to handle heavy materials and stand for extended periods
* Reliability and a can do attitude
* Ability to multi-task in line with the business demands
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 16:00pm
Location: Sutton-on-Trent - own transport required.
Salary: £12.21 per hour + Weekly Productivity/Attendance Bonus scheme (Rising once fully experienced within the role)
