Salary: GBP40000 - GBP60000 per annum + Holiday, Bonus, Hybrid
A fast‑growing contractor in the solar and renewables sector is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor as part of a commercial team build that is at a very early stage. The business has achieved 142% growth over the past 12 months and has clear plans to grow from £17m turnover last year to £50m within the next three years. Following rapid expansion, the company continues to invest in its people, systems and delivery capability. You will join a lean, agile commercial team, working closely with the Commercial Manager, gaining hands‑on exposure, structured mentorship and early responsibility in a high‑growth environment.

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
* Commercial management of projects from award through to final account
* Prepare and manage applications, valuations, variations and cost reporting
* Lead subcontract procurement, package placement, valuations and final accounts
* Drive change control and ensure variations are captured and evidenced
* Produce monthly forecasts and support cost reporting and governance
* Support contract administration and commercial risk management
* Work closely with delivery teams to improve record keeping and protect margin
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure value
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, M&E or a related contracting environment
* Strong knowledge of valuations, variations, reporting and subcontract management
* Commercially astute with confident negotiation and stakeholder skills
* Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a lean team
* Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
