Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication, looking to contribute to high-quality projects within a dynamic environment.
We work 4 day weeks Monday to Thursday 7.00am until 4.30pm
Responsibilities
* Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal and fabricated components
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
* Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently and safely
* Assist in the assembly of welded parts, ensuring proper fit and finish
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to adhere to health and safety regulations
* Conduct quality checks on welds to ensure they meet specified standards
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements
Skills
* Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
* Solid knowledge of sheet metal work and mechanical principles
* Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances
* Familiarity with assembly processes related to welded components
* Strong mechanical knowledge combined with attention to detail
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
