Following the growth of our business we are now looking to recruit an experience Legal Assistant to join our Private Client team who can support and help to grow the business.
Job Purpose
We are looking for an ambitious and experienced legal assistant who has a passion for Private Client work.
The successful applicant will have recent knowledge and experience within a Private Client Department, assisting on a varied caseload of Wills, Probates, LPA's and Estate Administration.
Practical experience handling client enquiries face to face and via telephone and email is essential as well as being confident and articulate.
The ideal candidate will be studying for Membership of the Institute of Legal Executives, have working knowledge of case management systems and be able to demonstrate a commitment to personal development.
Responsibilities and Duties
* To assist Fee Earners in the management of caseload by actioning legal procedures and dealing with file related queries either face to face or by telephone
* To complete tasks competently and within defined timescales including taking dictations and typing
* Liaising with clients and other contacts, dealing with queries, taking instructions and conducting letter and telephone enquiries as necessary
* Maximize the firm's potential to cross - sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities
Requirements
* Robust approach to relationships and interactions with colleagues
* Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and adhere to critical deadlines
* IT literate and have good keyboard skills – Microsoft Office is essential.
