We’re looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join our team Kings Hill, West Malling.
Westfalia Fruit is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior P&C Advisor to join our offices in Kings Hill, Kent. As a Senior People and Culture Advisor at Westfalia Fruit, you will play a crucial role within the business, acting as a key point of contact for employees and management by providing a comprehensive generalist HR resource, and being responsible for supporting a range of HR services and initiatives that align with the company’s global and local strategic objectives.
This position will support both the corporate offices and, when necessary, our factory/warehouse environment and will be responsible for ensuring that P&C policies and procedures are followed consistently across all business units in the UK.
This is an exciting role where you would act as the main People & Culture contact for UK based employees and managers (across both our Kings Hill and Spalding sites). You will also be encouraged to get involved with various project work and exciting wellbeing initiatives. You will report to and be supported by the Senior People and Culture Business Partner.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day HR advice and act as first point of contact for employee and manager queries
* Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and audit requirements
* Maintain accurate employee records and support HR systems, including ERP implementation
* Support absence management, return-to-work processes, and occupational health referrals
* Advise and support managers on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance
* Partner with managers on recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle
* Coach managers on HR best practice and challenge non-compliance where needed
* Support training, development, apprenticeships, and succession planning initiatives
* Contribute to compensation reviews, benefits guidance, and employee wellbeing programmes
* Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, engagement, and DEI initiatives
Qualifications
* At least 2-3 years within a HR Advisory Role (essential)
* CIPD Level 5
* Proficient knowledge of UK employment law
* Experience managing/supporting on successful HR projects delivering change
* Experience of working within a fast-paced environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Experience in designing and delivery basic HR up-skilling programmes to People Managers
* Experience gained within FMCG/food production produce/manufacturing environment (preferable)
* Self-starter, effective communication and self-directed
