The Opportunity
In the role of Governor Support Manager, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
The Governor Support Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring effective governance within educational institutions. You will ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are in place and adhered to, providing a safe environment for young people.
You will collaborate with school governors to support their strategic role and enhance governance effectiveness, offering constructive challenge and support to governing bodies to drive school improvement.
You’ll assist schools in preparing for Ofsted inspections and HMI visits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Managing and promoting services offered to schools, ensuring they meet the needs of educational institutions and contribute to their success.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…
• BTEC Level 6 Professional Certificate in coordinating Governor Services (or equivalent)
• Successful LA school improvement experience relating to governance
• Demonstrable achievement in leading and managing governance and sustaining this.
• A thorough understanding of school governor regulations and Ofsted requirements in relation to Governing Bodies
• Skilled in managing and leading partnership working
