The Role
The Caretaker will be responsible for a range of duties including:
* Opening and closing the school site, including key holding and security checks
* Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and health & safety checks
* Maintaining school buildings and grounds to a high standard
* Setting up rooms for lessons, exams, and school events
* Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
* Supporting health & safety and safeguarding procedures
Caretaker – Experience and Requirements
* Previous experience in caretaking, site maintenance, or a similar role (school experience desirable)
* Practical skills with the ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks
* Good knowledge of health & safety practices
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Legal right to work in the UK
* A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach
