Overview
Come and work on the south coast of England where you can leave work and be on the beach in just a few minutes and the surrounding countryside is beautiful too with the Purbecks and New Forest on your doorstep! We are looking to appoint a Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine at University Hospitals Dorset with the opportunity to apply for a substantive post next year. Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals have recently undergone a merger into UHD and at present there is an Emergency Department on both the Poole and Bournemouth sites. RBH is the designated site for PCI and stroke thrombolysis, and Poole is the designated Major Trauma Unit as well as having acute Orthopaedics and Paediatrics. A new state of the art department has been built which RBH moved into this year. Critical Care and Maternity are now located in the same building and Poole ED will move across to the RBH site next summer along with Paediatrics.
