Class 1 Tanker Driver Location : Bridgwater Shift : 5 on 5 off About the Role We are looking for a professional and safety‑focused Tanker Driver to join our Refresco team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of bulk liquid products, providing excellent service to customers and ensuring all work is carried out to the highest compliance standards. This position requires someone who is confident, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a highly coordinated transport operation. Key Responsibilities Safely collect and deliver bulk liquid products to customers. Ensure all loading and unloading procedures are followed in line with industry standards, site rules and product handling requirements. Carry out thorough vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring the tanker and associated systems are operated safely and compliantly. Manage load security and follow correct safety protocols throughout each journey. Use a handheld PDA to complete all delivery, collection and compliance documentation accurately. Handle a variety of different liquid loads, including food‑grade or regulated products. Provide excellent customer service face to face and over the phone, acting as a professional representative of Refresco at all times. Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing updates and helping manage customer expectations. Work flexibly, including nights away where required by the operation. Attend ongoing training and development sessions to maintain skills, compliance and safety knowledge. Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence. Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous. Tanker experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Passionate about providing excellent customer service. Ability to work to deadlines. Confident, polite, and a team player.
