Overview
Acorns Children's Hospice are looking for a Children's Palliative Clinical Lead to join the team at Three Counties Hospice, Worcester.
The Clinical Lead will manage a multi-disciplinary team, develop programmes of care and provide nursing care to children and young people with complex health needs, life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Responsibilities
* Manage and be responsible for the supervision and development of a large multi-disciplinary team consisting of all grades of nursing staff, students and support workers
* Manage and co-ordinate the clinical area, participating in direct patient care and supervision of staff
* Demonstrate expertise in symptom management and end of life care including after death care, to support staff to develop skills
* Participate in the development and implementation of new initiatives and contribute to the advancement of clinical practice within the hospice
* Promote communication with the children and young people, encouraging them to express their wishes and concerns to their best ability
About You
* Registered Nurse
* Non-medical prescriber (or willing to undertake)
* Leadership experience
* Experience of palliative care
* Care and Assessment of the acutely unwell child

* £46,000 to £52,000 per annum
* 37.5 hours per week

Additional Information
You need to be eligible to work in the UK. Employment is subject to an enhanced DBS check for children and two satisfactory references. Evidence of immunisation against specific diseases or willingness to receive vaccinations may be required.
