Job Responsibilities

The External Account Director will act as a key liaison between Syneos Health and external clients, ensuring high-quality delivery of services and fostering long-term partnerships. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and client feedback to enhance recruitment and retention offerings while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

·Develop and nurture long-term strategic partnerships with assigned external clients.

·Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagement, ensuring high satisfaction and trust.

·Identify opportunities for expanding services, driving new business, and optimizing client solutions.

·Represent Syneos Health’s R&R capabilities, articulating the value proposition to clients and prospects by leading RFP development, bid defense meetings, strategic discussions, and external stakeholder presentations, including for stand-alone opportunities.

·Oversee the development and execution of R&R strategies in collaboration with internal teams and clients.

·Align solutions with client-specific recruitment and retention goals and processes, ensuring seamless implementation.

·Work closely with operational teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of R&R solutions.

·Proactively assess and mitigate risks related to patient recruitment and study retention.

·Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to provide informed client recommendations.

·Collaborate with internal teams to refine and innovate patient recruitment strategies based on market insights and client feedback.

·Support external engagement initiatives, including conferences, client workshops, and advisory boards.

·Leverage data analytics to track recruitment and retention performance, making informed recommendations for optimization.

·Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of client engagements and R&R strategies.

·Work closely with internal teams, including data scientists and solution strategists, to drive continuous improvements in service offerings

8+ years related experience

·Considered knowledgeable in practice area

·At least 1-2 years of management experience.

·Expert understanding of global patient recruitment and retention strategies, including direct-to-patient outreach, decentralized trials and the healthcare landscape understanding the cultural and regulatory limitations

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database applications), email, and internet

·Excellent presentation skills, interpersonal skills, as well as a team oriented approach

·Excellent verbal, written, communication and time management skills

·Ability to multitask under tight deadlines on several projects with specific and unique requirements, while providing attention to detail and high quality work

·Ability to be flexible, adapt to change, work independently, as well as work as part of a team in a matrix environment

·Strong study-level and department-level operational experience with a track record of leadership and a willingness to challenge yourself to meet study, department, and company goals.

·Previous account management experience would be preferred
