A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Call off Controller to work in our facility in Severn Beach. The main purpose of this role is to ensure the seamless supply of all packaging materials into production while optimising working capital, maintaining service to manufacturing, and supporting NPD and product change activities.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

* Manage packaging call-offs against supplier contracts and forecasts, ensuring availability in line with the production plan.
* Issue timely call-offs and track supplier confirmations, deliveries, and deviations.
* Maintain accurate supply dates, lead times, and MOQ data within BC.
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve shortages, quality issues, or over-deliveries.
* Work closely with the Planning Controller to balance supply and demand for all packaging items.
* Support production scheduling by ensuring component readiness and visibility of constraints.
* Communicate changes in forecast, schedule, or supplier performance that could affect output.
* Support the NPD teams in onboarding new packaging items.
* Ensure the delist process is followed and our inventory reflects current demand.
* Monitor MRP messages and inventory levels to ensure stock and working capital targets are met.
* Contribute to ongoing ERP and process improvements, helping shape best practice in the new system.
* Develop close working relationships with key packaging suppliers to secure reliable supply.
* Work cross-functionally with Technical, Quality, NPD, Planning, and Commercial to ensure changes in artwork, spec, or pack format are reflected in ordering.
* Participate in supplier performance reviews, highlighting service, lead time, and risk metrics.
* Identify and implement improvements in packaging stock management, call-off accuracy, and reporting.
* Support sustainability initiatives in packaging and stock optimisation.
* Take on broader planning or materials control projects as part of career development.

Person specification/Qualifications/Capabilities:

* Experience of ERP systems (Business Central or equivalent such as SAP, Navision, or Dynamics) including data maintenance and reporting.
* Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented with good data management skills.
* Proven knowledge of call-off processes and supplier communication.
* Strong understanding of working capital and inventory optimisation principles.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
* Supply Chain experience within FMCG / food manufacturing or similar fast-moving environment an advantage.
* Adaptable and curious — keen to learn and grow into broader planning or materials management responsibilities.
* Calm under pressure, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
* A team player with strong ownership and accountability.
* Commercially aware, recognising the balance between service, cost, and cash.

The hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday with a salary of £30,750. This role is applicable to work at home for up to 2 days per week after the probation period.
