OVERVIEW
A rare opportunity has arisen to step into a senior leadership role as Head of Department for a Private Client team within a well-established and successful environment.
This role offers the chance to shape and lead a Private Client Legal team that delivers high-quality advice to individuals and families across estate planning, administration, and asset protection.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Leading and developing the Private Client Legal team, setting strategic direction and driving growth.
* Providing expert advice across a broad range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, estate administration, and tax-efficient succession planning.
* Acting as a key figure in strengthening collaboration with internal tax and financial advisory teams to deliver a seamless client service.
* Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, including regular feedback, workload management, and technical development.
* Advising on complex trust structures, estate matters, and high-net-worth client arrangements, including cross-border considerations.
* Supporting trust and fiduciary functions with legal input on administration and interpretation of trust structures.
* Driving business development initiatives, including building client relationships, contributing to thought leadership, and representing the team externally.
* Acting as a visible ambassador for the practice, enhancing its reputation in the market.
ABOUT YOU
* 8PQE+ within Private Client
* Strong technical expertise across wills, trusts, estate administration, and inheritance tax planning
* Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners
* Proven leadership or mentoring experience, with a passion for developing teams
* Strong relationship-building and business development skills
* Interest in working within a multidisciplinary environment
