Electrical Systems Engineer (Robot / Automation System-Level Solutions)
Join Brooks Automation, a leading provider of automation solutions in the semiconductor industry. We are looking for an Electrical Systems Engineer to develop new robot and automation system‑level solutions for our customers.
Job Summary
The role involves integrating electrical, mechanical, and software engineering to deliver full system solutions, including cable, PCB, and control module design, as well as creating technical documentation and supporting product deployment.
What You’ll Do
* Work with cross‑functional teams to create new systems and develop robot and system cable solutions.
* Design interface PCBs and new control modules.
* Develop technical presentations, resolve cross‑functional issues, and provide product support.
* Ensure proper documentation, consistent use of processes, system specifications, and adherence to engineering design standards.
* Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on complete product solutions.
* Manage project priorities in our online project system; investigate and respond to customer or operations inquiries; participate in mentoring and cross‑training.
* Occasional travel.
What You’ll Bring
* BSEE with at least 5 years of experience, or MSEE with at least 1 year.
* Experience performing system‑level troubleshooting and diagnostics for electrical and vacuum subsystems.
* Experience collaborating with mechanical, software, and systems engineers for seamless system integration.
* Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures).
* Experience ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards (ISO, SEMI, CE).
* Experience supporting installation, commissioning, and maintenance of vacuum systems.
* Proficiency with standard lab equipment and tools.
* Experience with cable design, prototyping, and debugging circuits.
* Experience with component selection and data‑sheet interpretation.
* Proficiency with Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and Altium Designer is preferred.
Compensation
Base salary range: $105,593.46 – $142,861.74 USD. Pay is influenced by geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
