Location: Cormar Carpets, Hemel Hempstead
The Role:
1. Proactively managing and motivating the team and the shift, engaging colleagues to ensure the best performance
2. Manage the team to achieve targeted daily and weeklyKey Performance Indicators
3. Ensure the department operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety
4. Ensure processes and procedures are adhered to throughout the operation, with exceptional focus on health and safety
5. Encourage a culture of excellent customer service ‘right first time’ with the team
6. Ensure sufficient resource is available to meet performance expectations
7. Responsible for driving high levels of employee engagement
8. Work closely with the Transport team to ensure that all plans are adhered to
9. Ensure that any performance, conduct or capability issues are thoroughly investigated, and any required resulting actions are completed in a timely manner
ThePerson:
10. An experienced manager/ supervisor with customer service focus within in a high volume, time critical warehouse environment
11. Energetic, resilient, and flexible
12. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan or similar)
13. Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office programs
14. Excellent communication skills
15. Works well under tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and a right first-time approach
16. Experience of Kronos time management and Oracle is an advantage
17. Experience with warehouse KPI management would be advantageous
18. Experience of setting up a brand-new site would be advantageous
19. Able to work shift work, including weekend working will be required
