Mechanical / Electrical Technician, maintaining Robotic Lawnmowers & gardening equipment and offering technical advice, the position will mainly be office based at Newton Aycliffe. A team player, as this role integrates with many areas of the business.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

We require an additional Workshop Technician to support Husqvarna's range of Robotics lawnmowers, the position will be mainly workshop based at Newton Aycliffe; however, there may be some degree of travel required as necessary.

Duties will include the repair and maintenance of our Robotic range of products and associated equipment. Other responsibilities will include offering telephone advice to our service dealer network and keeping relevant computer records.

Support with robotic lawnmower installations, general technical enquiries including Husqvarna’s full range of machinery. Supporting the After Sales Manager, senior robotics technician and the After Sales Team in all aspects of After Sales support for the UK

Providing technical support on the Help Desk for Husqvarna dealers.

Evaluating and repairing machines returned to the workshop and feeding back any findings

Reworking bonded products when required

Develop technical support information for product training

Communicate to the Sales Teams or categories regarding any technical issues and status

Automower installations and technical support

Additional Skills & Qualifications Required

At least 5 years experience in the repair/servicing of small electrical equipment.

Work independently as well as part of a team.

Strong communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to clients/customers.

being able to write comprehensive reports

Preferably, you will be qualified to “GCSE” / A level or above in Math's / Physics or other Engineering discipline (Other suitable background or qualifications could be considered)

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, good grammar and be PC literate.

A good knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office applications
