Design Technology Teacher – Resistant Materials
We are working with a thriving secondary school in Solihull seeking a passionate and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position specialising in Resistant Materials, with the opportunity to inspire creativity and innovation in students across KS3 and KS4.
Responsibilities
* Deliver lessons in Design Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials for KS3 and GCSE projects.
* Challenge, engage, and motivate learners; encourage independent thinking, problem-solving and high standards of craftsmanship.
* Take on full teaching responsibilities within the Design Technology department.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, marking, and the school’s wider community.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required; ECTs are welcome to apply.
* Strong background in teaching Design Technology with a specialism in Resistant Materials.
* A creative approach to teaching, effective classroom management, and the ability to inspire pupils with hands-on learning.
