Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing nursery provision attached to a successful mainstream primary school in Ormskirk. This role is offered on a temp to perm basis, providing an excellent opportunity for long‑term career development within a supportive Early Years environment.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about Early Years education and committed to helping children build strong foundations during their earliest stages of learning. While a Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable, it is not essential—experience, enthusiasm, and a positive, child‑centred approach are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting children aged 3–5 in their learning, play, and personal development.
Assisting the class teacher and wider EYFS team with daily activities and routines.
Helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children.
Providing 1:1 and small group support where required.
Building strong relationships with children, staff, and families.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with Early Years or a strong interest in EYFS education.
A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Reliability and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
Level 3 Early Years qualification (desirable, not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
