Job Title: SAP VIM Functional Consultant

A leading consultancy has been engaged to support a large-scale SAP transformation programme within a retail environment, focused on modernising finance operations and driving invoice automation. As part of this, they require an experienced SAP VIM Functional Consultant to support delivery across the accounts payable workstream.
You’ll be embedded within an established SAP delivery team operating across S/4HANA and ECC landscapes. This is a live programme, not a greenfield design exercise. The expectation is hands-on contribution across configuration, testing, and issue resolution within OpenText VIM.
This is a 6 to 12 month contract based in Leeds, with a hybrid working model. The core purpose of the role is to ensure efficient, stable, and scalable invoice processing through SAP VIM, aligned to finance and procurement processes.
The environment spans SAP FI and MM with OpenText VIM, Invoice Capture Center, and Archive Server. The programme is operating within a template-driven rollout, so there is a strong emphasis on governance, controlled change, and maintaining process integrity across regions.
You will be responsible for configuring and supporting VIM, defining and executing end-to-end test scenarios, and acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, IT, and third-party vendors. You’ll also be expected to manage testing defects, ensure alignment to the global template, and support the stabilisation of invoice processing workflows.
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong hands-on experience with SAP VIM (OpenText) in ECC or S/4HANA environments
* Proven delivery experience within SAP Finance, particularly Accounts Payable
* Experience with Invoice Capture Center (ICC) and OpenText Archive Server
* Ability to define and execute end-to-end testing across FI and MM processes
* Solid understanding of SAP FI modules including AP, AR, and GL
* Experience working within template-driven or global rollout programmes
* Comfortable engaging with Finance, IT, and third-party vendors
* Able to work independently and manage delivery in a fast-paced environment
