Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent fire risk assessment reports and act as a key point of contact for customers during site visits, ensuring a positive customer view of the company.
* Perform fire risk assessments for customers, making the necessary recommendations verbally on site and documenting them in the formal report.
* Execute assessments for all types of buildings (Commercial, Industrial and Domestic) and provide accurate and efficient paperwork at all times.
* Collaborate with the admin team to develop effective working practices.
* Use best practice methods in the execution of fire risk assessments, ensuring compliance with current fire legislation and relevant British Standards.
* Maintain full responsibility for the quality of service delivered to fire risk assessment customers and staff.
* Plan and organise workloads to meet service‑delivery timeframes and ensure on‑time delivery of reports to end users.
* Maintain a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
* Full understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and related British Standards.
* Experience and evidence of carrying out assessments for all types of buildings (Commercial, Industrial and Domestic); two redacted FRA reports will be requested.
* Strong written communication skills and high levels of literacy.
* Excellent verbal communication skills; confident, self‑aware and capable of communicating professionally.
* Proficiency with computer and electronic device skills required for completion of Fire Risk Assessments.
* Professional qualifications: accredited to Member level – Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) or Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) or on the IFSM or IFE “competent risk assessor” register.
* Additional recognisable and professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from credible providers such as Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association, NEBOSH Fire and Ind1.
* Ability to build and maintain long‑term professional relationships with internal staff.
* Experience with passive fire protection solutions, including Fire Compartmentation Surveys, Fire Door Surveys, Fire Stopping and Fire Compartmentation Works.
