Accounts Payable Manager | Leicester | Permanent | Up To £42,000
Macildowie are working with this client based in Enderby who are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their established finance team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within a thriving organisation, taking ownership of a large-scale purchase ledger operation.
Salary: Up to £42,000Working Arrangement: Office-based, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
The Role:
You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounts payable function, leading a team of clerks and ensuring that processes are delivered accurately and efficiently. With a supplier base of over 3,500, this role requires a proactive and driven individual with strong leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and motivate the Accounts Payable team to deliver high-quality service.
* Oversee the purchase ledger from invoice receipt through to payment, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
* Take responsibility for cash flow management, optimising supplier payment terms.
* Resolve disputes and complex queries with suppliers, demonstrating effective problem-solving skills.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
* Support the business with key projects and process improvements.
About You:
* Proven management experience within Accounts Payable or similar finance leadership roles.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Confident with financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to lead by example.
