Role Profile: Financial Accountant
Location: Leeds (1 day per week on-site)

Role Overview
We are looking for a talented Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role is key to delivering accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls. You’ll provide timely insights, support strategic decisions, and help drive improvements across financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements in line with statutory requirements.
* Deliver clear financial analysis and commentary to support senior leadership decisions.
* Maintain robust balance sheet controls through regular reconciliations.
* Mentor and support junior team members in their development and professional studies.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure reporting meets evolving business needs.
* Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting systems.
* Assist with year-end audit preparation and manage auditor queries effectively.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal standards.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of financial data flows from input to reporting.
Skills & Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
* Background in professional services, financial services, or similar sectors is advantageous.
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication skills, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
* Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
