A Vacancy at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. An exciting and unique opportunity to join our newly designed team to deliver Nurse‑led diagnostics. You will drive, lead, and showcase advanced autonomous nursing practice applying advanced assessment and diagnostic skills in the management of patients referred with a possible diagnosis of cancer.
Diagnostic processes include appointment scheduling, clinical assessment, consent, review of imaging, non‑invasive endoscopy procedures (i.e. capsule sponge) and relaying diagnosis.
Responsibilities
 * Deliver a comprehensive diagnostic pathway for patients suspected of having cancer and manage patients to the point of diagnosis and onward referral or liaison with other services (e.g. Clinical/Medical Oncology).
 * Perform non‑invasive endoscopy procedures and train junior staff in these specialist skills.
 * Provide clinical leadership, support consultants to realise their full potential and ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
 * Act as an innovator, motivator and role model to support and influence clinical pathway redesign within cancer services, including quality improvement, implementation of national initiatives and service reconfiguration.
 * Maintain a professional behaviour at all times, promote a positive image of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in line with World Class care values.
 * Demonstrate clinical expertise in cancer diagnostics, collaborate with multi‑disciplinary groups and independently receive and make referrals, lead caseload for 2WW patients and manage treatment and diagnosis follow‑up across health‑care settings.
