GSL Education are seeking a Behaviour Mentor Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Dinnington. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in developing positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional regulation in a structured and nurturing environment.
As a Behaviour Mentor Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with behaviour management both in and outside the classroom.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans.
* Assist in the use of behavioural de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively.
* Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting motivation, self-confidence, and resilience.
* Encourage pupils to engage positively with learning and social interactions.
* Monitor pupil behaviour and progress, providing feedback to inform interventions.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor Assistant:
* Experience working with children in a school or SEMH setting is desirable.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to challenging behaviour.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
