Our client in Cowley is looking for a HGV driver to support their operation as a cover driver. This role is predominantly driving HGV1 vehicles however. As cover, your role day to day will vary, including trunking, shunting and deliveries. This will be 5 x shifts per week.
Duties:
1. Driving HGV1 vehicle as required to cover deliveries or trunking. (Deliveries up to 5-6 max per shift)
2. Liaising with the Transport office team during your shift regarding jobs requiring completing.
3. All vehicle checks completed to ensure the vehicle is safe to use
4. Driving in a safe, responsible manner on behalf of the client you are representing
5. Follow driver working time directive at all times
Requirements:
6. Hold HGV1 driving licence
7. Be open and flexible to driving different classes of vehicles.
8. Be prepared to wait for your job, shunt or delivery. (Paid throughout)
9. Hold CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
10. Good Knowledge of working time directive
11. Maximum of 6 points on your licence
12. Good communication to per hour

13. Monday to Friday
14. start at 3pm – usually 8-10h shift
