Job Description
Reporting into the Head of Research Integrity and Ethics, the Research Integrity Manager is responsible for research integrity across Taylor & Francis Group books and journals.
Due to business growth, we are looking for 3 new Research Integrity Managers to work out of our Milton Park office.
Key Accountabilities
* Driving investigation of complex ethics and integrity book cases, and working with colleagues across the business towards accurate and timely resolution.
* Developing and maintaining books and journal editorial policies, ensuring they are fit for purpose and reflect researcher and scholarly practices.
* Working with the Head of Research Integrity and Ethics to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for books.
* Supporting and advising colleagues on editorial policies and processes.
* Suggesting and implementing improvements for research integrity practice in books with cross‑department input, deploying continuous improvement strategies where required.
* Auditing books for adherence to peer review and research integrity best practice, and highlighting areas for improvement or investigation.
* Developing and presenting workshops on publishing ethics for internal and external stakeholders.
* Digesting and disseminating ethics and integrity updates for T&F books colleagues in a clear and concise language.
* Acting as a policy and initiative champion with internal stakeholders to ensure buy‑in and support across other departments, as well as alignment with journal editorial policies and practices.
Qualifications
* Experience in research in an STMO or AHSS discipline.
* Experience in scholarly books publishing.
* Editorial experience in assessing scholarly manuscripts for quality, research ethics, publishing ethics and integrity of content.
* Experience in handling and advising on complex and sensitive research ethics and integrity cases.
* Excellent understanding of publication ethics standards and guidelines.
* Broad interest in research and how this is evolving globally.
* Ability to critique scientific research.
* Effective project management.
* Analytical thinking and decision‑making under pressure.
* Strong ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise competing tasks effectively.
* Ability to make effective and reliable judgements and think flexibly.
* Strong communication skills, able to build clarity, understanding and engagement with audiences at all levels.

These roles are based in the UK and you must have the right to work and live in the UK.
We believe that great things happen when people connect face‑to‑face. That is why we work in‑person with each other, or with customers and partners, three days a week or more. When you’re not spending time together in one of our offices or other workplaces – like at conference – you get the flexibility and support to work from home or remotely.
The successful candidates will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance to our Milton Park office to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office location 3 days per week. Please note that our Milton Park office will be relocating to Oxford city centre in late 2027 / early 2028, offering an exciting new workplace in the heart of the city.
