The role of dietetic assistant is to work alongside the paediatric dietitians to provide a high quality, compassionate health care to the patients under the care of the dietetics service at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Dietary analysis of patient food diaries
• Sending out appointment letters from patient hub
• Providing cover for the paediatric dietetic assistant as and when required
• To work within the British Dietetic Associations' Dietetic Support Worker and Assistant Practitioner Competency Framework
• Work within the diabetes team and support with patient education planning and delivery

Training & Qualifications
Good general education level up to at least A level and including GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
Food hygiene certificate
Knowledge of nutrition & special diets
Basic IT skills e.g. word, email, internet, excel
