Working in line with the Councils Corporate Plan, the postholder will shape and implement service strategies, advise senior leaders on policy and service development, and lead a diverse portfolio that includes community development, externally funded programmes, and community facilities. This is a pivotal role responsible for delivering high-performing, customer-focused services; fostering strong internal and external partnerships; ensuring effective governance and resource management; and championing continuous improvement. The Head of Community will also play an active corporate leadership rolecontributing to organisational development, community planning, and cross-departmental initiatives that support the Councils strategic objectives. Please Note: Assessment Centre will be held week commencing 13 April 2026 and Interviews will be held on 1 May 2026. This is a permanent, full-time post, working 36 hours per week. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. A reserve list may be kept from this recruitment exercise. This role is primarily based at the Signal Centre, Bangor, with the requirement to work across other Council buildings as needed.
