An established and reputable independent firm of accountants in Bradford is looking to recruit an Assistant Audit and Accounts Manager to join its friendly and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or qualified by experience accountant who enjoys variety in their work and wants to work in a supportive environment.
About the Role
While the role will be primarily focused on accounts preparation and review, it will also involve supporting a small number of audit assignments, offering a well-rounded and engaging workload. You’ll work closely with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and review of year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
Support and lead on audit fieldwork for a small number of clients, ensuring quality and compliance.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and providing feedback.
Build strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries.
Assist partners and managers in delivering high-quality client service and meeting deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
ACA or ACCA qualified or Qualified by Experience.
Practice background, with strong experience in accounts preparation.
Exposure to audit work (even limited) is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A positive, proactive approach and a willingness to develop and support others.
