Role Description
We are seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of construction projects. You will play a key role in cost control, procurement, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans
* Assist with tendering and procurement of subcontractors
* Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports
* Manage variations, valuations, and interim applications
* Support the preparation of final accounts
* Work closely with site teams to track progress and costs
* Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures
Requirements:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
* 3–6 years’ experience, ideally within a main contractor environment
* Strong understanding of UK construction practices and contracts
* Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard QS software
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Authorisation to work in the UK
Desirable:
* Experience working on residential and/or commercial projects in London
* Progressing toward or holding Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accreditation
