Role Responsibility KSK Senior Commissioner - Maternity Cover until March 2027 An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to take on the role of a Senior Commissioner within KCC’s Integrated Commissioning team to cover maternity leave until March 2027. This is a full-time post. (Secondments will be considered for KCC staff with manager’s prior approval to be released). The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Integrated Commissioning management team, overseeing fast-paced commissioning activity across a wide variety of portfolios that support the Council’s ambitious Public Health agenda. The focus of this role is expected to include substance misuse, health and wellbeing and healthy lifestyles, with the final portfolio subject to the successful candidate’s experience. We commission a large range of services across the life course and strive to deliver continuous improvements in delivery for our communities. You will be responsible for managing and growing a team of Commissioners to ensure the development and implementation of commissioning activities through delivery of efficient processes including innovation and service development, procurement, commercial and contract management to support KCC’s Strategic Outcomes. You will be working in close partnership with our internal and external partners including those in Public Health, Adult and Children’s Social Care, NHS England, providers, other key stakeholders and co-commissioners. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate great communication skills and extensive commissioning experience, alongside a track-record of collaboration, financial acumen, project management know-how and strong prioritisation ability.
