Overview
We’re looking for a passionate and driven Operations Manager (Food Services) to lead the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient dining and retail food services across a busy healthcare environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape service excellence, lead high‑performing teams, and ensure every meal meets clinical, cultural, and dietary needs—while delivering against KPIs, compliance standards, and commercial targets.
Responsibilities
* Leading day‑to‑day food service operations across wards and departments
* Driving service quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety, HACCP, and NHS standards
* Managing and developing large, multi‑site teams
* Monitoring and improving operational performance and KPIs
* Controlling costs, budgets, and resource planning
* Building strong relationships with clients and hospital stakeholders
* Leading on health & safety, audits, and compliance
Qualifications
* Proven experience managing food service operations (healthcare or large‑scale catering preferred)
* Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing teams and driving performance
* In‑depth knowledge of food safety, compliance, and operational standards
* Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and costs
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement
