Overview
At Asda Opticians, the health and wellbeing of our customers is paramount. We focus on delivering high‑quality patient care and service, completing eye examinations, contact lens fittings and extended service examinations.
Responsibilities
* Perform eye examinations and extended service examinations.
* Work alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards.
* Deliver a wide range of care under NHS contracts and obtain any additional accreditations required.
* Contribute to the development of new patient services and shape the culture of the department.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
* Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board MECs/WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining).
* On track to meet statutory CPD points.
* Evidence of Right to Work in the UK and NHS performer list for the relevant nation.
* Two clinical references; for Wales, WECS accreditation & WGOS module accreditation.
