Dual Site Yard Team Leader
Based between Maltby and Ranskill
Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm 40 Hours per week
Salary Circa £37,000 depending upon experience

Due to a restructure across our sites We have an exciting newly created role and are recruiting for a Dual Site Yard Team Leader to be based between our Maltby and Ranskill sites.
So What's the Mission?
Responsible for the effective warehousing, movement, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods across two sites. Ensures robust stock control, accurate yard management, and smooth flow of products between manufacturing, logistics, customer service, and sales. The Yard Team Leader plays a key role within the site management team, driving “right first time” performance, supporting site objectives, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties aren't limited to:-
Lead the loading and yard team to ensure best practice in loading, product handling, and stockyard management.
Promote an open and positive working environment, encouraging continuous improvement ideas.
Ensure all loaded products meet quality standards, including packaging and labelling.
Review and validate weekly scrap sheets and liaise with the stock controller.
Act as first-line support for loaders regarding quality queries.
Ensure incoming stock (RPLs) meets required standards and report discrepancies.
Manage non-conforming or held stock through agreed processes (rework, disposal, stock adjustments).
Maintain a clean, well-organised stockyard that supports best-practice warehouse layout and FIFO rotation.
Manage finished goods locations and communicate effectively with production on stock availability.
Complete required stock counts and maintain accurate stock records.
Maintain high housekeeping standards to meet environmental criteria and optimise space.
Manage the FLT fleet, ensuring compliance with PUWER, daily checks, maintenance, and recordkeeping.
Act as the main point of contact for:
- HGV drivers (internal and subcontract) regarding on-site loading and logistics
- Despatch teams regarding loading issues
- Customer service teams regarding stock issues or additional requirements
What are the Mission Critical Skills?
1. Experience in an autonomous leadership role within a medium/large manufacturing environment.
2. Understanding of schedule adherence, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies (, DMAIC).
3. Experience developing and managing team performance.
4. Demonstrated ability to improve site performance and drive results.
5. Competent in Microsoft Office and general PC usage.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills, both individually and in groups.
