Purpose of the Role
To administer and coordinate training and assessments to maintain staff competence and development in accordance with the Alliance and industry new and existing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the inputting of data onto the competence databases and HR system to provide accurate and up‑to‑date records of competencies held within the Alliance, in coordination and compliance with all the Alliance Partners’ requirements.
* Endorse and issue Authority to Work (ATW) to staff following training and assessment processes.
* Support line managers in developing the competencies within their teams so that they hold the correct type and number of staff competencies.
* Support the Alliance improvement plans and deliver the contract objectives, e.g. multi‑skilling.
* Coordinate and book technical training and competence assessments for staff within the Alliance and prevent any certification from becoming inadvertently out of date, including Sentinel competences.
* Provide periodic reports on performance criteria and progress of improvement plans.
* Clearly communicate competence requirements to line managers for all safety‑related and safety‑critical activities.
* Adapt to organisational changes and meet the operational requirements of the company.
* Input data for competence and training into the HR system.
* Book periodic and new‑starter medicals.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
Person Specification
* Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and work within allocated deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Good communication skills.
* Experience of administrative work and training coordination.
* Team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
