The role
What will you be doing?
Head of Actuarial Reporting
Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week in Dorking (occasional need for 4) as a minimum, flexibility to travel to London as needed
Unum UK is looking for a strategic and dynamic Head of Actuarial Reporting to lead our actuarial reporting function and help shape the future of our business.
This is a very high-impact role, responsible for delivering actuarial results across Solvency II and US/UK GAAP, and for driving capital forecasting and dividend planning. You will act as a key voice in senior forums, regularly presenting to Board, Audit and Risk committees, working closely with our US Financial reporting team and external auditors.
You'll lead a team of 3–4 direct reports, with wider leadership responsibility across a team of around 10. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can 'join the dots' across multiple workstreams, and brings a collaborative, forward-thinking approach to problem solving and stakeholder engagement.

* Qualified life actuary with 8+ years PQE
* Strong Solvency II reporting experience
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Experience preparing and presenting Board-level papers
* A strategic thinker who can connect complex ideas and drive continuous improvement
