About the Team and the Role:
Older Peoples Services are at the forefront of significant development in Adult Social Care. As a service we strive to deliver best outcomes for the citizens of Warwickshire and our high performing Team Managers are pivotal in supporting the service to meeting the objectives to delivering excellence.
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time (18.5hr per week) Team Manager to join the Stratford Older People Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and energetic person who is passionate about Older People achieving their full potential.
You will need to be flexible and dynamic in your approach and able to make positive contributions, bringing fresh ideas, creativity, and innovation to delivering the best possible outcomes possible for the citizens we serve. Through your leadership you will optimise the potential of team members, help support their development, and promote the team's identity, wellbeing, and performance in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
You will be a registered Social Worker that has been working at least Level 3 for at least 2 years or, a registered Level 4 Social Worker or, an existing Social Work Team Manager (or equivalent e.g., Lead Practitioner or Team Leader) working with Adults (or Children’s Social Care who would like a change in career direction) and is looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and aspirational team.
Ideally you will be able to evidence either:
1. experience of Team Leader/ Manager work either as a current Team Manager/Leader or through a secondment or development/project work and/or,
2. have experience of line managing social care staff (registered social workers or unregistered social care practitioners or, student social workers).
Or
3. experience of at least 2yrs as a senior social worker (L3 SW or L4 SW)
4. have had some experience of supporting team members or student social workers
