Overview
Nursery Class Teacher 0.2FTE (Fixed Term until 16 August 2026) – Tulloch Primary School, Perth. Based at Perth & Kinross Council. The ELC setting is term-time only, providing a 9:00am to 3:00pm service for nursery children and their families. This is a fixed-term post at 1 day per week until July 2026.
Responsibilities
* Work with Senior Management and Nursery staff to improve outcomes for children and families.
* Collaborate closely with parents and the local community to support Early Learning and Childcare (ELC).
* Contribute to a play-based learning environment that respects the needs of everyone, promoting positive and inclusive ethos.
* Support the ELC setting with capacity for 66 3-5 year old children and 10 Strong Start 2s, within term-time operation.
* Be part of a team that aims to provide excellence in learning and teaching and in achieving positive outcomes for all pupils.
Skills & Experience / Qualifications
* Experience in Early Learning and Childcare settings; a passion for early years education.
* GTCS registration is required.
* PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scheme checks or updates are required for working with children and/or protected adults.
* Disclosure checks may be required if you have lived overseas within the last 10 years; Overseas Criminal Record Check may be needed.
* Applicants should be able to provide references; external candidates typically provide two referees (email addresses), with one from their current or most recent employer. If currently employed by Perth & Kinross Council, one reference from the current Head Teacher is required.
