GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Rotherham. Role Overview: As an SEN Primary TA, you will provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help adapt learning materials, provide 1:1 or small group support, and create a nurturing environment that enables every child to succeed. As an SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. Assist teachers in planning and delivering adapted learning activities. Encourage pupils’ participation, confidence, and independence. Help manage behaviour and maintain a safe, positive learning space. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support progress. Requirements for SEN Primary Teaching Assistant: Experience supporting children with SEN, either in a school or similar setting. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach. Good communication and teamwork skills. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
