Senior Cost Analyst The Senior Cost Analyst will be responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and cost management support to our Transportation projects. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive cost efficiency and support strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in supporting the development of automated tools to provide an efficient method of reporting and inputting of cost information into the organisations systems. As part of this role you will undertake the following responsibilities: * You will lead and manage Cost Control functions to major clients in the Transportation sector delivering a range of multi-disciplinary projects. * Report the commercial status of projects in accordance with company methods * Analyze cost variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. * With experience in analysis of financial data, contracts, forecasting, and reporting you will play a critical role in the delivery of our projects and support of your Project Manager. * Contribute towards the continuous development of Jacobs cost control, forecasting tools & systems and provide mentoring and training on Jacobs systems while promoting best practice. * Contribute to the development of data driven solutions using agile methodology, data analytics, modern tools and platforms with a practical solution-orientated approach to allow for successful delivery. * Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate cost allocation, forecasting and budgeting. * Experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or a related role. * Experience in project controls, commercial operations, with emphasis on project controls and financial issues * As an individual you should be able to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising tasks, with an analytical approach to problem solving and reporting combined with being a team player. * You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, being an active listener, focused on relationship management and strategic influencing, with engagement skills that cultivates trust * Be curious and have a passion for innovation and delivery excellence with a track record of implementing project delivery innovation across projects. * Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or a related role. * Experience in project controls, commercial operations, with emphasis on project controls and financial issues * As an individual you should be able to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising tasks, with an analytical approach to problem solving and reporting combined with being a team player. * You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, being an active listener, focused on relationship management and strategic influencing, with engagement skills that cultivates trust * Be curious and have a passion for innovation and delivery excellence with a track record of implementing project delivery innovation across projects.
