The Role
As a Senior Project Control Manager, you will work on one of the nation’s most complex engineering projects, supporting British Fleets.
You will collaborate closely with Project and Programme Managers and lead a team of project controls professionals. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including the project team, functional teams, suppliers, and customers, is essential. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the Project Controls capability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, maintain, and own the project performance measurement baseline.
2. Provide timely management reports to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
3. Gather evidence to validate progress against success criteria.
4. Align project control tools across contract partners and subcontractors.
5. Maintain a robust Earned Value Management (EVM) system and generate detailed reports for compliance and decision support.
6. Implement risk management processes, including schedule risk analysis and regular reporting.
7. Apply experience in project controls on complex or major projects.
8. Utilize project controls methodologies such as planning, scheduling, cost management, risk analysis, and change control.
9. Enforce project controls governance.
10. Proficiency with tools like MSP, P6, Risk Hive, ERP/SAP.
11. Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including external suppliers and clients.
Qualifications:
1. APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
2. Certification as a Project Planning & Control Practitioner.
Hours:
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, with hybrid working: 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. Longer onsite periods may be required based on project needs.
