Job Title: Locum Hand Therapist Banding: Band 6 Location: London Working Hours: Full-time Duration: Ongoing Rate: £24-27 per hour Opening Paragraph: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Hand Therapist Physiotherapist to join our team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in closed trauma fracture clinics, outpatient clinics, and wards, providing specialized hand therapy for both post-operative and non-operative patients. Responsibilities: As a Band 6 Locum Hand Therapist you will be responsible for working in closed trauma fracture clinics, outpatient clinics, and wards, providing hand therapy for adults and children with trauma and acquired conditions. This includes splinting, exercises, functional rehabilitation, and scar and oedema management. You will need to clinically reason for both simple and complex trauma and acquired hand and wrist conditions, including tendon and nerve repairs, fractures, and conditions such as Dupuytren’s, OA, wrist pain, and De Quervain’s. Additionally, you will autonomously manage a caseload of adults and paediatric patients, support junior therapists with clinical reasoning and treatment planning, and interpret hand and wrist X-rays. Qualifications and Experiences: HCPC registered. Clinical experience in hand therapy, including assessment, splinting, and modalities. Ability to clinically reason for simple and complex trauma and acquired hand and wrist conditions. Ability to autonomously manage a caseload of adults and paediatric patients. Experience in interpreting hand and wrist X-rays. Desirable: Experience working in the UK NHS system in a Hand Therapy role at Band 6 level. Why work with Pulse?
