We are recruiting a Principal Infrastructure/Civil Engineer to join our expanding Infrastructure Engineering team in Bristol. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to share our journey and help us deliver an exceptional service that creates sustainable and successful development across the UK.
What Are We Looking For
We seek a talented individual that can deliver a high‑quality service, think outside the box, and enjoy a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions to the technical challenges of land development. The candidate should have experience leading projects and teams, while also being comfortable hands‑on with technical design and production of drawings and documentation.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
* BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or a related subject plus 6+ years relevant postgraduate experience; ideally Chartered or Incorporated with ICE.
* Demonstrable ability to lead residential or general infrastructure development schemes, including highways, drainage, and plot engineering. Experience undertaking an independent lead role on major projects and managing junior team members.
* Ability to design using best practice guidance such as Manual for Streets, CIRIA SuDS Manual, Sewerage Sector Guidance, Building Regulations, and local authority standards.
* Ability to prepare drawings and calculations for both private and approved arrangements, including obtaining watercourse consents and technical approvals for S104/S38 agreements.
* Numerate and software literate with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar, and drainage modelling software such as Causeway Flow.
* Experience managing non‑technical project aspects: contract management, finances, programmes, resourcing, and client‑facing roles.
* Consultancy/private sector background and understanding of residential development from concept to construction.
* Effective organisational and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
* Full driving licence and access to a car.
