The Role
* Position: Year 5 Class Teacher
* Location: Bexleyheath, Greater London
* Start Date: January 2026
* Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time considered
You will:
* Teach a small, well-behaved and eager Year 5 class
* Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
* Deepen pupils’ knowledge and skills in preparation for Year 6 and beyond
* Promote independence, confidence and a love of learning
* Work collaboratively with a supportive staff team and communicate effectively with parents
* Participate fully in school life, including trips, events and extracurricular activities
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in KS2 – ideally Year 5 or Upper Key Stage 2
* A sound understanding of the KS2 curriculum and high expectations for all pupils
* Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills
* A warm, child-centred approach and ability to build strong relationships
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* A commitment to continuous professional development and school involvement
